I am afraid to walk beside you, for you can disappear anytime.

I am afraid to hold your hand, for you’ll let me go.

I am afraid to think about you, for I’ll fall even deeper.

I am afraid to close my eyes, for when I wake up in the morning, you’re no longer here.
