Went to haircut in SUI yesterday. It is a Korean-owned business. Most of its staff are of Korean nationality too.
I was waiting for my turn along with two other female customers, when one of the staff, this Korean guy walked up towards us, leaned towards one of the female customers, and asked “Are you Octa?“. Man, does “Octa” sound like a female name in Korea? !@#$^%. And his Korean accent was quite obvious, it sounded more like “Are you Od-ta?“.
My name is Octa, and I am a male.
