I’ve just experienced an exceptionally interesting and memorable weekend. I didn’t work in the function on Saturday, so I could enjoy as much as i could.
I cooked Soto Medan on Friday nite, inviting Su, Ben, and Lidia over. The preparation and cooking time wasn’t the best one, but the food turned out not so bad taste. Then, on Saturday, went yumcha with my sis and relatives. Now comes the interesting part. Joei, Sue Ann, and me went to Richmond to do groceries, then we cooked Bak Kut Teh at Joei’s place. Oh, me and Sue Ann went to grab a bottle of red wine too. Hahaha.. very unique experience.
Now i need to mention, starting on Saturday dinner time, we watched 7 movies back to back (precisely, 6 and a quarter). Starting with
My Lucky Star, then Sepet, Sex Zero, The Incredibles (half-way), Harold and Kumar, Eurotrip, and Spanglish. It was 6.30am in the morning by the time i (yeah.. only me survived, Sue Ann and Joei were KOed) finished Spanglish. Spend the morning sleeping sound and safe, then we headed to city to have brunch in Pancake Parlour. Then after window shopping, went to exercise our lazy body: badminton and sauna. This is the most relaxing weekend I’ve ever had lately. Not to mention the good laughs we had in between here and there. Most of those movies we watched were so damn hilarious that we still could talk about it and feel funny. Until now. Oh, I laughed so much during the movie that I cried inside my dream. What a weird dream. One movie that’s pretty catchy is Sepet. It’s a Malaysian love story.. interracial romantic story. The rest, are all comedy movies. Speaking of catchy… another thing that’s pretty catchy is "Scotty Doesn’t Know" song, from Eurotrip.
